FAQ & User Guide

How to use AuralVibe from first tone to shared flow.

This page covers the user-facing service: listening modes, tone types, manual controls, saved presets, flows, sharing, community playback, embeds, accounts, and safe listening. It does not cover admin or backend workflows.

Quick Start

Step 01

Pick a mode

Use Purpose-based when you want a ready-made sleep, focus, meditation, energy, or memory session. Use Frequency-based when you want to tune the exact beat and carrier frequencies yourself.

Step 02

Choose headphones or speakers

Use stereo headphones for binaural beats. Monaural beats and isochronic tones can work through headphones or speakers.

Step 03

Start listening

Select a preset or release a manual frequency slider. The bottom player opens with play, pause, elapsed time, volume, and quick preset controls.

Step 04

Sign in when you want storage

Create an account or continue with Google to save presets, like purposes, build flows, publish flows, and save copies of shared flows.

Functions And How To Use Them

Each function below describes what the user can do in the current app and where to do it. Clean generated tones work directly in the browser; storage and community actions need sign-in.

Purpose-Based Presets

The fastest way to listen. AuralVibe ships with tuned presets for sleep, deep sleep, meditation, creativity, focus, stress relief, concentration, energy, peak performance, and memory.

  1. 01Open Home and choose Purpose-based in the side menu.
  2. 02Select a card under Choose Your Purpose. Playback starts with that preset frequency, carrier, tone type, and recommended brainwave range.
  3. 03Use the heart button to like a preset after signing in. Liked presets appear in their own section at the top of the Home page.

Manual Frequency Builder

For direct control, tune the target brainwave beat and the audible carrier tone yourself.

  1. 01Open Home and choose Frequency-based in the side menu.
  2. 02Choose Binaural Beats, Monaural Beats, or Isochronic Tones.
  3. 03Set Manual Frequency from 0.5 to 50 Hz. The hint under the slider explains the current range, from delta sleep to gamma focus.
  4. 04Set Carrier Frequency from 100 to 500 Hz. This changes the audible pitch that carries the beat.
  5. 05Release either slider to start or update playback with the current settings.

Tone Types

AuralVibe can generate three clean tone formats in the browser. No audio file or stream is required for the core tone.

  1. 01Binaural beats play a slightly different tone in each ear. Use stereo headphones or earbuds.
  2. 02Monaural beats mix the tones before they reach your ears. They are speaker-compatible and feel like a steady pulse.
  3. 03Isochronic tones create clear on/off pulses. They are useful when you want rhythmic clarity without headphones.
play_circle

Player Bar

The bottom bar controls the active preset, manual frequency, or flow preview.

  1. 01Use the center button to pause or resume playback.
  2. 02Use the volume slider to change the generated tone volume without leaving the page.
  3. 03Use the tune button on desktop to open quick presets and switch between built-in and saved presets.
  4. 04Press Space to toggle playback when you are not typing in a field or focused on another control.
instant_mix

Soundscape Mixer

The mixer keeps the generated clean tone separate from optional catalog and connection layers.

  1. 01Use Clean Tone to set the generated beat volume.
  2. 02Use Ambient Sounds only when sounds are listed in the selector.
  3. 03Use External Layer to choose Disabled, Free Tracks, Spotify, YouTube Music, or Apple Music. If a provider shows Waiting for connection or no tracks are listed, continue with the clean tone.
  4. 04Use Save Preset or Share Session from this panel when you want to keep or send the current manual setup.

Saved Presets And Shared Sessions

Signed-in users can keep custom manual settings and reload them later.

  1. 01In Frequency-based mode, tune the beat, carrier, tone type, and volume you want.
  2. 02Click Save Preset, enter a name, and confirm. The preset appears in Saved Presets.
  3. 03Click a saved preset to play it. Use its delete button if you no longer need it.
  4. 04Click Share Session to copy a link. The link reloads either the selected purpose preset or the exact manual beat, carrier, tone type, and volume.

Flows

Flows are multi-stage sessions. Each block can have its own duration, beat, carrier, tone type, waveform, volume, and transition.

  1. 01Open Flows and sign in.
  2. 02Click Create New Flow, name the flow, and optionally add a description.
  3. 03Add blocks on the timeline. Each block must be at least 30 seconds, and the full flow can be up to 3 hours.
  4. 04Select a block to edit duration, binaural target, carrier frequency, volume, tone type, and waveform.
  5. 05Choose Fade or Pause between blocks. Fade blends into the next block; Pause adds silence and increases total time.
  6. 06Drag blocks to reorder them. Use Preview to hear the flow before saving. Use Save Flow or Update Flow to store changes.

Read Aboutarrow_forward

What does AuralVibe do?

AuralVibe generates binaural beats, monaural beats, and isochronic tones in your browser for sleep, focus, meditation, stress relief, energy, and creative work. You can use ready-made purpose presets or build exact manual frequencies.

Do I need headphones?

Use stereo headphones for binaural beats because each ear must receive a different tone. Monaural beats and isochronic tones can be used with headphones or speakers.

What should I use first?

Start with Purpose-based mode. Pick the closest goal, listen for 10 to 30 minutes, and adjust volume to a comfortable low level. Use Frequency-based mode after you know which brainwave range works best for you.

What is the difference between beat frequency and carrier frequency?

Beat frequency is the target brainwave rhythm, such as 2 Hz for delta sleep or 10 Hz for alpha focus. Carrier frequency is the audible pitch you hear, such as 200 Hz. In manual mode, the beat changes the intended state and the carrier changes the tone color.

Can I listen without an account?

Yes. You can use built-in purpose presets, manual frequency playback, public shared flows, embedded flows, and community playback without an account. Sign in only when you want saving, liking, publishing, or personal flow editing.

How do I save my own preset?

Sign in, open Frequency-based mode, tune the settings, click Save Preset in the Soundscape Mixer, enter a name, and confirm. Your saved preset appears below the mixer and in the quick presets menu.

How do I build a longer session?

Use Flows. Create a new flow, add blocks, set each block duration and frequency, choose transitions, preview the timeline, and save. A flow can contain multiple stages and can last up to 3 hours.

How do I share something with another person?

For a manual or purpose session, click Share Session to copy a link. For a flow, save it first, then use Share Flow to copy a public link or embed code. Public flow links can be played without signing in.

What are Community Flows?

Community Flows are user-published multi-stage sessions. Open Flows, scroll to Community Flows, sort by Top or New, and press play. Sign in if you want to like a flow or save a shared flow copy to your own library.

Is this medical treatment?

No. AuralVibe is a relaxation, focus, and meditation audio tool. Effects vary between people. Do not use it while driving or operating machinery. If you have a seizure disorder, are pregnant, use a pacemaker, or have medical concerns, ask a clinician first.

Safety Notes

AuralVibe is not medical treatment. Keep volume comfortable, take breaks, and do not listen while driving or operating machinery.

Evidence note: Brainwave entrainment evidence is mixed. Treat AuralVibe as a relaxation, focus, and meditation aid, not a guaranteed effect or medical treatment. Responses vary by person and by session.
